		<description>Well at least it is, at least within the borders of the country, a prison state where you are jailed justifiably... as opposed to say being accused of rigging the vote in the oppositions favour by a certain Bob. Curious how all the arrests are for people rigging it against him not for him... hmmmmm. Coincidence?

		<description>Tut tut tut...a year in abeyance, then two posts within less than a week...and not a single comment. I'm stunned...

Just to add to these very real thoughts, the new president if SA's ruling party, and probably our future country president, has recently stated he'll re-open the long-shut debate on the deathy penalty for SA. 

Of course, politicians tend to change direction in mid-stride when it suits them, so we'll have to wait and see if it's an honest attempt to curb crime (despite the rumour that it doesn't work), or just another cheap (in my opinion) way of raising more votes from a country fed up with crime and the uselessness of the current criminal justice system.

Faith in politics? It's like backing the loser after the guy in front has already crossed the finished line...</description>
