I tried pressing it in various ways and for different lengths of time, with no result. Anyhoo, I'm also surprised that they'd bring out a feature just over two years ago (the approximate release period of my phone), and yet we've heard nothing about the hardware to let you use the darn feature. Maybe it just didn't take off the way they expected? RE the laptop idea, you're right, writing upright isn't easy...particularly on a screen not made for it in the first place!
