Make any cellphone into a touchpad
Just came across this: Make Any Cellphone Into a Touchpad - Gizmodo. It’s about a bluetooth pen, that works with (apparently) any bluetooth-capable cellphone, and allows one to “write” on the screen with the pen, and then save or send the resulting pictures.
I’m surprised the same thing is not commonly available for laptops! I suppose the laptop shape is not as convenient, hence the move to tablet PC’s, where you can swivel the screen around to lie flat, reay for writing.

Ah, that explains it, then…I always wondered why on earth my cellphone had a little button with the image of a pencil on it. I tried pressing it in various ways and for different lengths of time, with no result.
Anyhoo, I’m also surprised that they’d bring out a feature just over two years ago (the approximate release period of my phone), and yet we’ve heard nothing about the hardware to let you use the darn feature. Maybe it just didn’t take off the way they expected?
RE the laptop idea, you’re right, writing upright isn’t easy…particularly on a screen not made for it in the first place!
Regards,
Chris
